Chris Porterfield was the Executive Editor for Time magazine, TV producer for Dick Cavett, and author. He is currently working on a book of best writings from Time magazine’s 85 year history.
Mark Mahowald, M.D. is a neurologist and currently the medical director of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center at Hennepin County Medical Center. He is also a professor of neurology at the University of Minnesota.
Gage Davis is founder and president of Gage Davis Associates, Inc; a Planning, Urban Design, Architecture and Landscape Architecture firm. His firm has provided professional planning and design services for over 300 projects domestically and in 18 countries internationally.
Mark Mayberg, M.D., is a neurological surgeon, currently is executive director of the Swedish Neuroscience Institute at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Edina Public Schools Former Staff Members

| J. Donald Meyer taught biology, enriched biology and ecology. During his tenure, Meyer inspired the creation of the Conservation Club at the high school. He also taught forest ecology in the field laboratory during the summer. Don taught for 30 years.

Larry Stotts taught English, Humanities, American Literature, Acting, Speech and Communications classes at Edina High School. He also directed more than 50 plays, many of which were written by students. Larry taught for 32 years.

Ted Greer was a math teacher, primarily teaching 11th grade Advanced Algebra. He also was principal at Valley View for 10 years and assistant principal at the high school for 2 years as part of his 35 years of service. Ted also coached varsity hockey, varsity boys and girls tennis.
