Show and Tell Luncheon

The 2009 Show & Tell Luncheon was a huge success! Over 325 people turned out for the second annual bag lunch event in the Edina High School commons area on January 26 to find out more about the Education Fund and how it impact Edina students.

The event consisted of demonstrations and displays of prior year’s grants, speakers, a video, and testimonials. A significant pool of matching funds and many new donors made for the success of this event. Current contributors commented that they really appreciated the hands-on demonstrations, detailed displays and entertaining presentations that showed exactly where the funding is going.

One of the highlights from this year’s luncheon was a combined set of testimonials from a teacher and student on their Project Lead the Way 8th grade classroom experience. This engineering curriculum funded by the Ed Fund is new to the Edina Public School district this year and has sparked interest in this area of study for many students.
